Boy, does time fly! It seems like Thanksgiving 2014 was just a few weeks ago, ha! What a whirlwind this year has been for me… there were many ups and downs, but nevertheless, I am so incredibly thankful for everything that has happened.

2015 wasn’t a picture perfect year for me – not by a long shot. But you know what? I carried on smiling… because you were all there cheering me on. The encouragement I received from all of you — whether you were a friend, a family member or a fan… it literally meant — and still means — the world to me.

This year, I finally took the deep dive to move to Los Angeles and take my entertainment / art career to a new level. I also came out publicly about my sexuality. I was able to do these two major things because of your support. You have all shown me I can be confident. I don’t need to be afraid anymore. My mask is off. I am the real me.

I honestly wouldn’t have been able to do any of that without you guys making me feel accepted and loved. You’re all awesome. Remember that.

Continuing on, I have a few honorable mentions…

First off, I am so thankful for my dear sweet mother. She has seen me at my lowest and manages somehow to raise my spirits. Despite bothering her with my issues, sometimes silly and sometimes very serious, she never strays from me. She gives me the best advice… man the time we would save if I just listen to her the first time around! I love you, mom. I promise to buy you a house someday.

I need to thank my amazing friends at The Fan’s POV. All of you. You accept me for the goofy man child I am and I think that’s absolutely kick ass. To know I have a group of friends that have the same “unusual” interests as I do and encourage me to live my dreams is incredible. And a special shout out to my older brother, Christopher, my friends Jon, Ernie, Krissy and Sam (all Fan’s POV staff) for introducing me to the con world. It forever changed me and helped shape what I do now. I hope to make all of you proud someday!

My Akaicon family — Tina, Devin, Harsh, Shelly… man, there are so many of you to name! You guys made me feel so special that first Akaicon I attended. and it is because of you, I was able to further my career in entertainment and education in culture and language. I am forever in your debt. I love all of you so much. I will NEVER miss an Akaicon – guest or not, I will always be there! A special shout out to Tina Moore… thank you, truly. You have done more for me than you will ever know. I am so incredibly happy I was able to meet you; I consider you a sister. I love you so much and would do anything for you. I mean that, from the bottom of my heart. xoxo

2015 was a bit zainy, but you have all stuck by me through thick and thin. And because of that, you fueled me enough to create some of the most amazing projects I have ever made in my entire life. 2016 is going to be grand. And it’s because of all of you.

And with that, my dear friends, family and fans…

…from the bottom of my heart, I love you all unconditionally. I am truly the happiest I’ve ever been in my entire life. Thank you for accepting me. Thank you for encouraging me. Thank you for always making me smile. I hope going forward, I can return the favor. I will do my darndest!! I cannot wait to make even more cherish-able memories with each and every one of you. And for that, I am truly, truly thankful.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. Sending out a big e-hug to everyone out there reading this. Much love. Much roasted turkey noming.
